Mrs. Sajeda Begum (800), Professor of Botany and a member of the Bangladesh Civil Service (General Education Cadre), joined Duaripara Government College as the Principal on March 7, 2024. She entered the cadre service through the 16th BCS (General Education) in 1996.

On August 8, 1996, she joined Govt. Fazlul Haque College, Chakhar, Barishal, as Lecturer. Later, she served as Lecturer at Govt. Titumir College, Dhaka. In 2005, on January 8, she was selected under the 10% quota as Assistant Professor and joined Eden Mohila College, Dhaka. She served as Associate Professor at Govt. Harganga College, Munshiganj and Govt. Bangla College, Mirpur, Dhaka. Subsequently, on August 6, 2020, she was promoted to the position of Professor and joined Govt. Bangla College, Mirpur, Dhaka.

She passed SSC with First Division from Mohammadpur Girls' High School in 1984 and HSC with First Division from Begum Badrunnessa Government Girls’ College, Dhaka in 1986. She graduated with Second Class in Botany from Eden Mohila College, Dhaka in 1989 and passed with First Class in MSC in 1990. She successfully completed the Advanced Course on Education and Management (ACEM) Training and the Senior Staff Course on Education and Management (SSCEM) Training from NAEM. She is a lifetime member of the Bangladesh Botanical Society. She is a member of the Officers' Club, Dhaka, and the Officers' Association of Barishal Division.
